Scooby Doo is a cartoon on Cartoon Network about a group of friends, and their talking dog named Scooby Doo, that solve mysteries of haunting that are scaring people away from wherever they happen to arrive at in the beginning of the episode. In every episode they spend most of the 30 minutes running scared in a comical way. Then at the very end they compile the clues they found and set up a trap to catch the monster. The trap never works because of some silly mistake, but the monster still gets caught somehow. Then they unmask the monster and everyone is surprised who it is except for Velma, the short genius girl that apparently knew all along and never told her friends. She then explains how she found out and why they were haunting everyone which is usually because of money that can be made off the property they were haunting. The show has been on since 1969 and has had many new series and several movies including 2 live action ones.
